Three for a Girl / Storyboard
This is the storyboard and the moodboard for the third MAGPIE-Loop “Three for a girl”. A sentence out of Aglaja Veteranyi‘s book “Warum das Kind in der Polenta kocht” inspired me to my mine character: “Ich stelle mir eine Frau vor mit so grossen Hüften wie das Zirkuszelt.”
A house is flying through a blue sky with puffy clouds (1). Zoom in till we can dip into the window (2). Inside the house we find a whole city with colourful buildings (3). Some of the buildings are very different and have special functions. There is a tree house, well a house for trees (4) or a bird house (5). One of the buildings is the huge dress of a beautiful woman (6), who is taller than any building in this city (7). The woman is watching over the buildings (8). Right now she’s holding a tiny little house in her hand (9). She blows it off (10), and the house is flying away through the blue sky. ∞

The moodboard below illustrates the light and airy mood of this loop. There will be a lot of pastel colours. The woman is a gentle princess overviewing all the details that go on in the city.
Pictures in this moodboard are created by: Fontaine Anderson / Anja Kroencke / Sonia Delaunay / Ana Serrano / Anne Ten Donkelaar / Rob Bailey / Tracciamenti / Annie Collinge
