Four is a Boy / Storyboard
On a ride around the curvy streets of the caribbean island Tobago i saw this man sitting on a bench with a birdcage. He was probably waiting for one of the rare buses. But he looked so relaxed and pleased, I will never forget the scene.
And this is my storyboard for the fourth loop “Four is a boy”:
Camera moves backwards through a green forest (1) and passes by a magpie with a shiny stone in her beak (2), an owl with glittery eyes (3) and other forest animals (4). Then the camera reaches the border of the forest and pulls back further (5/6). Now we can see that the forest is growing out of a boys head. The boy is wearing a bird-mask (7). He’s sitting on a bench in the dark on he’s knees he’s holding a birdcage covered with a cloth (8). The boy lifts the cloth and the scene lights up as there hovers a massive shining diamond in the cage (9). With the scene lighten up we can see that the boy is sitting in a green forest (10). The camera pulls back further through the forest (11). ∞

While collecting ideas and inspirational pictures for this loop I came across a quote of E. E. Cummings and it made my day: “Your head is a living forest full of songbirds.” Indeed 🙂
